Opening for the 2022 Season

We are currently looking for a Pipe Laying Superintendent with at least 3 years of proven experience in laying storm sewer and sanitary pipe lines.  This role would have the responsibility of running their own crew and equipment on various jobs.

Position Overview: Underground Superintendent

The Underground Superintendent is responsible for the direction and coordination of all underground field labor, subcontractors and the placement/use of equipment and construction materials. The Superintendent is accountable for the efficient and effective day-to-day construction of the underground project following the overall construction methodology and means developed by the Project Manager and Superintendent. They are also accountable for maintaining effective working relationships with trades people, subcontractors, suppliers, and client employees who may be on the site.



Responsibilities

  • Oversees and supervise daily construction activities at work site, including scheduling of workers, delivery of equipment and materials, and progress of the project.
  • Works with contractors to complete project within the given budget and timeframe.
  • Resolves contract disputes and arranges any necessary order changes.
  • Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures.
  • Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.


Qualifications

  • 5+ years’ experience in field or related field
  • Ability to lead and develop talent
  • Proficiency and accuracy in equipment operation
  • Applicants who are offered employment will be required to submit to a Drug/Alcohol test and a functional capacity evaluation. This evaluation, which applies to all incoming construction labor employees, is done to determine whether the employee is suited to and capable of performing the essential functions of the position offered.

  • Bending, stooping, reaching, crawling, standing, twisting, climbing
  • Unaided lifting to 50 lbs.
